Phil Jacus – Vice President of Program Development
Phil is the Vice President of Program Development at talk3. With more than 20 years of work experience as a senior e-commerce marketing executive, he has led top brands and fortune 100 companies in multichannel & e-commerce marketing. Phil began his career in consumer direct marketing of continuity based credit card affinity products for CUC International (which was acquired by Cendant).
He then became a founding partner of Third Word Magazine; a music and arts focused publication. Third Word published for two years and was available nationwide on alternative reading magazine stands with a stable base of national and regional advertisers Third Word was a recognized member of the Gen X publication movement, and was profiled in Ad Age, Folio magazine, Playboy magazine, The Chicago Tribune and The Chicago Reader.
At Consumers Digest Online he helped develop and launch of Consumers Digest Online an online expert review and product comparison engine for over 90,000 products in 220 product categories. He was responsible for building the web strategy, and accountable for managing all interactive marketing and web sites media sales efforts.
Phil went on to hold senior ecommerce and marketing roles at Playboy.com and Sears.com. While at Playboy.com he managed ecommerce marketing, catalog circulation and marketing of Payboys.com online continuity subscription sites including its marque CyberClub. At Sears.com, he was responsible for the promotional marketing planning, messaging and creative execution of the Sears.com’s home page and all vertical category pages. He was also responsible for overseeing all seasonal digital experiences/promotions on Sears.com, for all business lines.
Phil, while consulting led engagements in eMarketing strategy, business intelligence/data warehouse CRM implementations and campaign management project with c top companies such as JC Penney, Pitney Bowes, Grant Thornton and Turner Broadcasting properties such as CNN, GameTap and Cartoon Network.
Phil earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in Finance from Drake University in 1987, as well as a 1 year certification program in Digital Strategy from the University of Chicago in 2003.
