Mike Blyth - Board Advisor

Mike Blyth is a talk3 board advisor, providing strategic advice and business development expertise. He has a broad range of senior management experiences in start up, LBO, Fortune 100, analytics, communication and management consulting companies. His experience spans retail, consumer products, consumer durables, information services, software, advanced analytics and communication sectors.

As President of Loyalty Management Group’s North American Insights and Communications business, Mike established US and Canadian beachheads. He worked with Carlson Marketing to develop their retail vertical strategy. He drove business development and was instrumental in closing their first retail client in 15 years. LMG and Carlson Marketing are subsidiaries of AIMIA, a major global Loyalty and Coalition Marketing company headquartered in Canada.

Prior to AIMIA Mike served as EVP and Global Practice Leader of Loyalty Analytics for Information Resources, Inc. His businesses included Customer Analytics, Customer Driven Software Applications and Collaborative Analytics portals. He shaped the product portfolio and established IRI as a leader in the Customer Centric Retailing field. Mike’s clients included grocery, drug, convenience, mass, dollar and club retailers, along with a diverse range of blue chip Consumer Packaged Goods companies.

Mike shaped the product and drove business development as COO of 121eMarketing. This digital CRM and analytics start up was integrated into Information Resources, Inc. As Chairman, CEO and equity partner at Salerno Foods he led an LBO turnaround generating a 4X return on investment. Mike was CMO of LIfeFitness and General Manager of their consumer business, which grew dramatically under his watch. He took on the COO role at Spectra Marketing Systems, doubled the size of the business and helped sell the company to VNU/Nielsen.

Mike held a number of positions with Kraft Foods including VP Corporate Strategy, CMO of the Refrigerated Products Group and VP Trade Marketing, Kraft USA. He led a significant turnaround on the Cheese business and developed Kraft’s first and second generations of Trade Marketing.  Mike was EVP of Marketing, Sales and Consulting Services for The ALCAR Group. This successful start up focused on Shareholder Value based financial modeling, software and consulting.

As an Engagement Manager Mike led over 5o cases with The MAC Consulting Group, which later merged into Cap Gemini. He a very diverse client base with cases included strategy, marketing, merger and acquisition, planning and cost reduction initiatives.

Mike holds MBA from the Kellogg School of Business, at Northwestern University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He also holds a Masters in Applied Food Science from Reading University in the United Kingdom.
